Tell Congress: Invest in America — Not War With Iran

Americans are struggling to afford groceries, rent, healthcare, and child care. But instead of offering help, Congress is letting Donald Trump spend $1 billion every single day on war with Iran.

That’s $1 billion a day that could be feeding families, strengthening public schools, lowering healthcare costs, or helping working people get ahead. Instead, it’s being burned on bombs and missiles in a dangerous escalation that could spiral into a much larger war.

Congress has the power to stop this waste of our tax dollars. Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune must refuse to rubber-stamp billions more for war and reject any blank check for escalation.

Tell House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune: “No more billions for war with Iran. Invest in food, healthcare, and schools instead.”

The costs of Trump’s war won’t stop with weapons.

The conflict is already pushing up oil prices, threatening higher gas prices for drivers and higher grocery bills for families. Experts warn it could even disrupt fertilizer supplies, driving food prices even higher for farmers and consumers alike. Working people will pay for this war over and over — with their tax dollars and at the checkout counter.

And as American soldiers lose their lives, the costs for our families and communities will continue to rise. Congress should invest in helping them thrive instead of wasting more of our money on a pointless, illegal war.

Add your name now to demand Congress stop funding this war and start investing in the American people.

The petition to House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune reads: “No more billions for war with Iran. Invest in food, healthcare, schools, and our communities instead.”
