Tell Congress: Expand Social Security!

The CBO estimates that the Social Security retirement trust fund will run out of money in 2032 or early in 2033 if nothing is done to enhance it.

Republicans have suggested sunsetting or privatizing the essential program. However, the vast majority of Americans oppose eliminating or even cutting Social Security, so conservatives are floating cuts that older folks won’t notice (after all, they are the ones that turn out for elections), passing the pain onto younger generations.

The Social Security Expansion Act introduced by Democratic Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren would extend the solvency of Social Security for another 75 years, expand benefits by $200 a month, increase the cost of living adjustments, and require millionaires and billionaires to pay their fair share into the program.

Tell Congress that our youth deserve a robust Social Security program. Demand that they pass the Social Security Expansion Act!
