Donald Trump wants to spend $40 billion to turn gigantic warehouses into mass deportation jails. Congress must stop him now.

Reports reveal that the administration is planning a sweeping expansion of ICE detention by converting industrial warehouses into massive holding centers. The projected cost could reach $40–45 billion — an unprecedented detention buildout.

These warehouses weren’t built to humanely house people, but Trump wants to use them to cage thousands of people at a time. Civil rights advocates warn of overcrowding, medical neglect, and abuse if Congress doesn’t act to stop it.
