Tell Congress: Block Trump’s War on Iran

Donald Trump is racing the country toward another catastrophic Middle East war — and Congress must stop him now.

In just weeks, Trump has escalated threats against Iran, openly floated military action, and brushed aside warnings from allies who fear regional chaos. Iran has vowed retaliation. European governments are scrambling to de-escalate. And Trump is signaling he may strike without Congressional approval.

We’ve seen this before. Trump tore up the Iran nuclear deal, imposed devastating sanctions, and assassinated a top Iranian general — pushing the region to the brink of war. Now he’s doing it again, louder and more recklessly, daring Congress to intervene. Now, they must.

Tell Congress: “Block Trump’s war on Iran. Reassert your authority, refuse funding for unauthorized force, and stop another endless war before it begins.”

A war with Iran would not be quick or contained. It would endanger U.S. troops, trigger retaliation across the Middle East, spike gas prices overnight, and kill civilians who have nothing to do with Trump’s political games. Once the first strike happens, there is no off-ramp — only escalation.

But Congress still has time to act. Lawmakers can reject unauthorized military action, block funding for a war with Iran, and force Trump to come before the people’s representatives before a single missile is launched.

The Constitution is clear: only Congress can authorize war. Not a president acting alone. Not secret plans. Not threats designed to box lawmakers into silence.

Silence now is permission. And once bombs fall, it will be too late.

Add your name to demand Congress to stop Trump from starting another disastrous war.

The petition to Congress reads: “Block Trump’s war on Iran. Reassert your authority, refuse funding for unauthorized force, and stop another endless war before it begins.”
