Tell Congress: Address Sexual Abuse in Prisons

According to a new report from a bipartisan congressional committee, hundreds of women in federal custody have been sexually assaulted by Federal Bureau of Prisons staff and officials.

The 8 month investigation found that such sexual abuse has taken place in at least 2/3 of all federal prisons over the past decade.

“Our findings are deeply disturbing and demonstrate, in my view, that the BOP is failing systemically to prevent, detect and address sexual abuse of prisoners by its own employees,” said Georgia Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff, chairman of the subcommittee.
