Tell Congress: Abolish ICE

This month, two people are dead after encounters with federal immigration agents — and communities across the country are demanding accountability.

In Minneapolis, Renée Good, a 37-year-old mother and U.S. citizen, was shot and killed during an ICE enforcement operation. Weeks later, Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old ICU nurse, was killed during another federal immigration action tied to the same surge in enforcement. Families, witnesses, and community members immediately raised alarms about reckless tactics, excessive force, and an agency operating without accountability.

These deaths are the result of a dangerous and lawless agency that has repeatedly escalated routine encounters into deadly confrontations. ICE has shown, again and again, that it cannot be trusted with the power it wields — and that’s why Congress must act now to abolish the agency.

Tell Congress: Abolish ICE now.

Over the past year, ICE’s behavior has grown more aggressive and more alarming nationwide. Armed raids have terrorized neighborhoods. People have been detained without due process. Agents have used force with little oversight and even less consequence. Investigations stall. Discipline is rare. Transparency is nonexistent. Communities are told to move on — until the next life is lost.

At the same time, Congress is locked in a fight over ICE’s budget. Some lawmakers are pushing to expand funding for an agency that continues to leave devastation in its wake. Others are finally acknowledging the truth: ICE is not broken — it is functioning exactly as designed, enforcing immigration through fear, militarization, and dehumanization.

Polling now shows that more Americans support abolishing ICE than oppose it. Members of Congress are publicly calling for its dismantling. The political moment is here — and the moral urgency could not be clearer.

ICE cannot be reformed. It cannot be trained into safety. It cannot be overseen into humanity. As long as this agency exists, more families will grieve, more communities will be traumatized, and more lives will be put at risk.

Tell Congress: Abolish ICE. Shut down this dangerous agency, end the cycle of violence, and replace it with humane, accountable systems that respect human dignity and keep communities safe. Sign now and demand action before another life is lost.
