Tell Arkansas governor: Veto extreme anti-LGBTQ bill

The religious right's anti-LGBTQ panic is reaching new extremes in Arkansas, and Faithful America -- the largest progressive community of Christians taking action online for social justice and against Christian nationalism -- is speaking out against their hateful attacks.

Last week, the state Senate passed Senate Bill 43 -- legislation that would classify drag shows as "adult-oriented businesses" just like adult bookstores and strip clubs, banning the performances from public spaces or in any place where minors are allowed.

Local activists are sounding the alarm about the bill, saying that it could be used to shut down gay nightclubs, ban public Pride celebrations, and legally harass trans and non-binary people simply for going about their daily lives in public spaces.

The Arkansas House of Representatives is considering the bill. If they pass it -- which is currently expected -- it will head to Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders for a signature or a veto.

Anti-LGBTQ hatred is spiking across the country, and much of it is being spread in Jesus's name. As Sanders' fellow Christians, let's speak out together against this Christian-nationalist attack and tell her to oppose Senate Bill 43.
