Amazon is profiting from fear and harassment by selling fake Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) jackets—one of its current bestsellers. These jackets aren’t being used for costumes or novelty purposes. They are being worn by anti-immigrant extremists to harass, intimidate, and terrorize immigrant communities. At this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), a far-right speaker openly encouraged people to use these jackets to frighten immigrants, saying: "If you want some entertainment, wear this and go to a Home Depot in a sanctuary city like where I live right now, Washington, D.C., and you'll see all the illegals. Not all of them, but you can maybe see a lot of them start to run away." This kind of rhetoric is not only hateful—it’s dangerous. The consequences of this intimidation campaign aren't isolated to conservative conferences. In Philadelphia, two individuals wearing fake ICE jackets showed up at Temple University and attempted to enter a residence hall, raising alarms among students and faculty. This is not a harmless prank—it is a coordinated effort to spread fear among immigrants and communities of color. No one should have to wonder whether the person confronting them in public is an actual federal agent—or an unhinged vigilante looking to cause harm. By selling these jackets, Amazon is making it easier for extremists to spread fear and incite panic. Amazon has previously removed dangerous and offensive products from its platform, and it must do the same here. Sign the petition to tell Amazon to immediately stop selling fake ICE jackets before more people are harmed.
