Tell AG Blanche: Don't Punish Judges Who Exposed ICE Abuses

The Trump administration broke the law. Now Attorney General Todd Blanche wants the judges who recognized it gone.

Blanche's Justice Department (DOJ) just filed a misconduct complaint against nearly every active federal judge in Minnesota. Their offense? Telling the New York Times what they'd seen from the bench during ICE's immigration crackdown in their state.

Last winter, federal agents flooded Minnesota with immigration arrests. Hundreds of people were improperly detained, and two people died during the operation. But when federal judges tried to hold them accountable, the government blew past court orders again and again.

So the judges spoke up. And Blanche's answer was to brand them a "partisan press campaign" and demand they be stripped from every case involving Homeland Security. We can't let this stand.

Sign the petition: Tell Attorney General Blanche to stop trying to purge the judges who caught him breaking the law.

One judge put it bluntly: ICE "has likely violated more court orders in January 2026 than some federal agencies have violated in their entire existence."

Now, the administration that defied court orders wants to remove the judges who documented it. If they win, the people most at risk of wrongful detention will lose access to the judges who've actually defended their rights.

The DOJ is trying to send a clear message to every other judge in the country: call out the government, and the government comes for your job.

Blanche is brand new to the job, but this is already one of his signature moves. His complaint now sits with the Eighth Circuit, which still has to decide whether to act on it, and Congress has the power to open oversight hearings into his department.

Public pressure now can raise the political cost of this retaliation before either one moves, and put both the court and lawmakers on notice that people are watching.

Add your name now: Tell Blanche to drop the complaint, stop the purge, and obey the courts.

The petition to Attorney General Todd Blanche reads:

"Withdraw the misconduct complaint against Minnesota's federal judges, drop the demand that they step aside from immigration cases, and comply with every federal court order."
