Tax Elon Musk!

Elon Musk has extraordinary influence and control over our society. Much of his wealth comes from his companies’ billions of dollars worth of government contracts across 17 different federal agencies.

The New York Times laid out the extensive entanglements between Musk, his companies, and the federal government, just as the billionaire has come under scrutiny for his pledge to give away $1 million a day to a voter in a swing state ahead of the election. And Trump has promised Musk a role in his administration to “reduce waste and needless government regulation.”

When a few billionaires can have such a major influence in our political system, it threatens our democracy. Congress must rein in Musk by raising taxes on the ultra-wealthy and corporations.

Sign the petition: Tax Elon Musk! Congress must act to preserve our democracy.

While Musk dumps money into a pro-Trump super PAC, his companies are taking hold of the federal government.

Musk’s massive fortune and the clear conflicts of interest Musk would have in any White House role are serious dangers to our democracy.

As the New York Times put it, Trump giving Musk the role in his administration would, “essentially give the world’s richest man and a major government contractor the power to regulate the regulators who hold sway over his companies, amounting to a potentially enormous conflict of interest.”

We have to stop Musk and the billionaire class now.

Add your name: Congress must take back power from billionaires like Elon Musk. Tax the rich now!
