Trump’s Executive Order 14215 attempts to consolidate unchecked power within the executive branch, giving himself and Attorney General Pam Bondi absolute control over legal interpretations—including those of so-called independent agencies like the Federal Election Commission (FEC). This blatant abuse of power threatens the integrity of federal agencies, endangers fair elections, and undermines our system of checks and balances.

This lawsuit is a crucial step in defending democracy and stopping authoritarian overreach. No president should have the power to dictate legal rulings that serve their own political interests—especially when those rulings affect election oversight.
