Stop Trump’s Mega Detention Warehouses

The Trump administration is rapidly building a nationwide network of mega immigration detention centers — and it’s happening right now, largely out of public view.

To carry out Donald Trump’s plan to deport one million people per year, the Department of Homeland Security is buying and leasing massive warehouses across the country and converting them into immigration jails. These facilities would detain men, women, and children in buildings never designed to safely house people.

This expansion comes as deaths in immigration custody continue to mount. In just 44 days, three people died in ICE detention. One death has been ruled a homicide. Detainees at other facilities report overcrowded cells, unsanitary conditions, and delayed medical care. Public health experts have warned that these environments put lives at risk, especially for children.

Public pressure can stop this. DHS depends on congressional funding, local approvals, and political cover to open new detention sites. When communities speak out, contracts collapse, permits stall, and officials are forced to answer for their actions.

Local leaders and residents in multiple cities are already pushing back against these plans. But DHS is moving quickly to lock in sites before opposition grows.
We demand that Secretary Noem and Director Lyons cancel all warehouse detention projects, publicly disclose proposed sites and contracts, and end the expansion of mass detention.

Sign now to tell the Trump administration: no secret mega detention centers, no warehouses full of children and families, and no more deaths in immigration custody.
