Stop Trump from Rigging the 2030 Census

Donald Trump is trying to rig the 2030 Census before it even begins.

Trump’s Commerce Department has proposed changes that could exclude millions of immigrants from the count used to determine congressional representation and Electoral College votes. The plan would also remove long-standing race and ethnicity questions, weakening the data used to enforce civil rights laws and direct resources where communities need them most.

The Constitution requires the census to count the whole number of persons in each state — not just the people Trump wants counted. But Trump’s Commerce Department is trying to manipulate who counts in America and give his allies another tool to distort democracy.

Tell Trump’s Commerce Department: Stop this census power grab and protect a fair, accurate count.

Census data determines political representation, voting maps, federal funding, civil rights enforcement, and public services for the next decade. If immigrant communities are erased from the count, entire neighborhoods could lose representation and resources. If race and ethnicity data disappear, it becomes harder to prove discrimination and harder to protect communities from being ignored.

Trump tried to sabotage the census before. His first administration failed to add a citizenship question and failed to exclude undocumented immigrants from apportionment. Now his Commerce Department is trying again — and we cannot let the damage happen.
