Stop Republicans' War on the Poor

House Republicans just launched an all-out assault on working families—and they’re doing it to bankroll billionaires.

On April 10, they rammed through a budget packed with $4.5 trillion in tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy. Their plan? Slash Medicaid. Gut food assistance. Let kids go hungry—just to line the pockets of the richest Americans.

The GOP’s budget rips $230 billion from SNAP, the program that helps over 40 million people put food on the table. And while they claim they won’t touch benefits, they’re trying to starve the program by forcing states to pick up the tab. That move could devastate rural and low-income communities, especially in the South.

Worse, they're coming for Medicaid next. Millions of seniors, kids, and people with disabilities could lose access to care—all while Big Oil and billionaire donors get a windfall.

This budget is a blueprint for cruelty. It’s a political hit job on poor and working-class Americans, all in service of a rigged economy that serves the top 1%.

But it’s not too late to stop it. The Senate hasn’t voted yet, and we still have a chance to block this disaster—if we speak out now.

Tell Congress: Reject the Republican budget and the war on the poor.
