Stop Republicans’ Tax Cuts for the Rich

Republicans are rushing to pass their real agenda: massive tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy and corporate donors — and they’re willing to break the rules to do it.

The proposal would slash taxes for billionaires and big corporations, while leaving working families behind. And to make it happen, Republicans are pushing a budget bill through Congress that violates long-standing rules meant to prevent abuse of the reconciliation process.

Wealthy donors and special interests spent hundreds of millions of dollars helping Republicans regain power, and now they’re cashing in. These tax cuts won’t help small businesses, working families, or everyday Americans — they’re designed to benefit the people who least need the help, at the expense of everyone else.

We’ve seen this before. The 2017 tax cuts added trillions to the national debt and failed to deliver the promised benefits to working Americans. Now they’re trying to do it again, this time with even fewer guardrails and even more disregard for congressional procedure and transparency.

The vote could happen any day now, and Republicans are doing everything they can to rush this through before the public has a chance to push back. If they succeed, we’ll see a massive upward transfer of wealth — just like we did after the 2017 Trump tax cuts — while schools, health care, and infrastructure suffer the consequences.

Congress must reject this bill and respect the rules that are meant to protect the American people from this kind of legislative abuse.
