Stop Republicans from Blocking Heat Protections for Workers

As climate change worsens and extreme heat rises, Republicans in Congress are trying to strip heat protections from workers. 

Extreme heat is one of the deadliest workplace hazards. In just the first week of July, postal carriers, delivery drivers, warehouse workers, and manufacturing employees were hospitalized due to heat related illnesses and some workers tragically died. 

Workers need more water, rest, and shade. Instead, Congressional Republicans are trying to block these safeguards to protect corporate profits. 

Tell Congress to protect workers over corporations and reject Republican efforts to block heat protections for 36 million workers. 

As heat waves grow longer, stronger, and more frequent, we cannot wait to protect people on the job. Workers have no control over extreme heat, and many cannot refuse unsafe assignments without risking their livelihoods.
