Stop DOGE from Spying on Students

Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) started snooping in federal student loan systems without permission.

DOGE staffers, including teenage interns and political appointees with zero vetting, were granted access to the National Student Loan Data System, which stores sensitive information on over 40 million borrowers. That means names, Social Security numbers, incomes, loan balances—all potentially in the hands of a partisan operation with no oversight.

Senator Elizabeth Warren and 16 other senators are demanding answers. But the Department of Education still refuses to come clean about how deep the breach goes.

Tell the Department of Education: “Stop DOGE’s massive privacy breach. Cut off DOGE’s access to student loan records, launch an audit, and commit to maintaining our privacy.”

DOGE has no business inside our student loan files.

The Trump administration created DOGE to dismantle public agencies from the inside. Now they’re feeding student data into AI tools and pushing a radical agenda—with our personal information at their fingertips.

It’s time to draw the line. The Department of Education must immediately cut off DOGE’s access, audit what’s already been taken, and commit to enforcing the Privacy Act and FERPA. Anything less is a betrayal of public trust.

Sign now to demand the Department of Education protect our data and stop DOGE from abusing student privacy.
