Stop Approving Gas Export Terminals

The Trump administration is fast-tracking new approvals for gas export terminals — and the consequences could be catastrophic for our climate, our health, and our economy.

Just this week, Trump’s Department of Energy approved massive exports from Venture Global’s CP2 terminal in Louisiana, despite widespread opposition from scientists, public health experts, and climate advocates.

President Biden had paused new gas export approvals earlier in his presidency due to these risks, but Trump is racing to undo that progress and lock in decades of dirty energy infrastructure. These terminals serve the interests of fossil fuel billionaires — not ordinary people. Every new project locks us deeper into dependence on fossil fuels and delays the clean energy transition we urgently need.
