Stand With Transgender Service Members Fighting for Benefits

More than a dozen transgender members of the U.S. Air Force and Space Force — each with 15 to 18 years of service — are suing the Trump administration after being forced out of active duty and stripped of the retirement benefits they earned through years of sacrifice.

These are decorated service members, pilots, technicians, intelligence analysts, and combat veterans. They served in Afghanistan, guarded our skies, protected our nation — and were on track to retire with dignity. Instead, the administration abruptly rescinded their retirement orders, removed them from duty under its discriminatory transgender military ban, and denied them the health care and up to $2 million in pension benefits they had rightfully earned.

These heroes fulfilled their oath to protect our country. Now we must stand with them as they fight to protect their rights.
