Stand with the Organizations Protecting the Pacific Monument

We stand with the conservation groups fighting to protect one of the last wild and healthy ocean ecosystems on Earth.

President Trump’s decision to open the Pacific Islands Heritage Marine National Monument to commercial fishing is a dangerous step backward. This fragile, culturally significant area—home to vibrant coral reefs, endangered sea turtles, sharks, and other marine life—is too important to sacrifice for short-term profits.

Originally established and expanded under bipartisan leadership, this monument represents a commitment to environmental stewardship, cultural heritage, and global ocean health. The recent attempt to reverse these protections threatens not only biodiversity, but also the deep connection that Indigenous communities in Oceania hold with these waters.

We applaud the Conservation Council for Hawai‘i and allied organizations for taking legal action to stop this destructive move—and we add our voices in defense of our oceans, ecosystems, and future generations.

Add your name to stand with the conservation groups and protect our oceans from reckless exploitation.
