From Los Angeles to Philadelphia, Atlanta to Portland, millions of Americans took to the streets this weekend to send a powerful, unified message: We are not subjects — we are citizens. We reject authoritarianism, racism, and militarized crackdowns. We believe in democracy, dignity, and the right to protest.

The “No Kings” protests erupted in cities and towns across the country as communities rose up against the Trump administration’s raids, military deployments, and attacks on immigrant rights. Peaceful demonstrators chanted, drummed, marched, and sang their love for freedom — even as some faced tear gas, arrests, and violence.

These protesters are standing on the front lines of American democracy. They are marching for immigrants, for the rule of law, for free speech, and for a country where power is held by the people — not by kings, and not by fear.
