We stand with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) in its urgent plea to the U.S. Supreme Court: Stop the Trump administration from secretly and unlawfully deporting migrants under the Alien Enemies Act. In a democracy, no one should be removed from this country without due process — certainly not with 24 hours' notice, without access to a lawyer, and without being told they’re being sent to a notorious prison known for torture. That is what’s happening under President Trump’s unprecedented and dangerous use of the Alien Enemies Act. Migrants who have come to the U.S. seeking safety now face life-threatening imprisonment in El Salvador’s CECOT prison — and the administration refuses to guarantee their right to challenge their deportation or even to notify them in a language they understand. The ACLU is demanding the bare minimum of due process: adequate notice, access to attorneys, multilingual communication, and transparency about where people are being sent. These are not radical requests — they are constitutional rights. We call on the Supreme Court to uphold the rule of law, to safeguard the rights of immigrants, and to reaffirm that the President cannot wield war powers in secret and in peacetime to tear families apart. Add your name if you stand with the ACLU and demand the Supreme Court put a stop to these unlawful deportations. The world is watching — and the Constitution is on our side.
