Stand with State Attorneys General Defending Public Health

We stand in full support of the coalition of 20 Democratic Attorneys General who are suing the Trump administration to stop the unlawful dismantling of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

In the face of mass layoffs, elimination of life-saving programs like Head Start and the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, and the hollowing out of essential services like the World Trade Center Health Program, these leaders are taking action to defend the health, safety, and dignity of the American people.

This isn’t efficiency — it’s sabotage. The administration’s campaign to gut HHS puts pregnant patients, first responders, low-income families, and children at direct risk. Public health is not a political bargaining chip.

We applaud New York Attorney General Letitia James and all who joined the lawsuit for standing up for science, care, and compassion. We call on the courts to halt these destructive actions and restore HHS to its full, life-saving capacity.
