Stand With January 6 Officers Fighting Trump's Corruption

The police officers who defended the U.S. Capitol on January 6 are standing up once again — and they need our support.

Former Capitol Police officer Harry Dunn and Metropolitan Police officer Daniel Hodges have filed suit against Donald Trump over a massive taxpayer-funded fund they argue could reward January 6 rioters and political allies involved in the attack on our democracy.

These officers risked their lives defending the Capitol during the violent insurrection. Now they are fighting to ensure public money is not used to reward political extremism or encourage future violence.

This lawsuit is about accountability, public trust, and protecting democracy from corruption and intimidation.

No president should be allowed to create slush funds that benefit allies tied to attacks on democratic institutions while the officers who defended those institutions continue to face threats and trauma.

The people who protected the Capitol deserve support — not political retaliation.
