Stand with Biden: Raise Taxes on the Ultra-Wealthy

In his 2024 budget, Pres. Biden just called for the ultra-wealthy to pay their fair share in taxes.

Specifically, he called for a 25% minimum tax on the wealthiest 0.01% and to return the top rate for those earning more than $400,000/year to 39.6% – exactly what it was before Donald Trump's tax cuts for the rich in 2017.

"It's great to see President Biden leading the charge to increase taxes on billionaires, crack down on stock buybacks by massive corporations, and prevent the wealthiest Americans from cheating on their taxes and avoiding paying what they owe," said Groundwork Collaborative executive director Lindsay Owens.
