Stand with AARP: Protect Medicaid from Harmful Cuts

We stand with AARP in urging Congress to reject any cuts to Medicaid that would harm millions of seniors, people with disabilities, and low-income families who rely on the program for essential health and long-term care. As AARP has warned, Medicaid funds more than half of all long-term care in America, and with an aging population, slashing its budget would push the nation into a crisis.

Rather than imposing large-scale cuts, we call on lawmakers to work toward real solutions—expanding home care options, reducing bureaucratic barriers, and strengthening support for family caregivers. Any attempt to reduce eligibility, shift costs to states, or burden older Americans with unnecessary red tape must be rejected.

Congress should protect Medicaid’s mission and ensure that those most in need continue to receive critical care. We urge lawmakers to listen to AARP and put the well-being of seniors and vulnerable Americans first.
