ConocoPhillps is moving forward with plans to extract more than 500 million barrels of oil from the pristine western Arctic.

Located just 36 miles from the mostly-Indigenous village of Nuiqsut, the Willow project could eventually include up to 250 separate oil wells, along with pipelines, roads and an oil processing facility.

If approved, this oil and gas drilling plan would threaten sensitive habitats, violate the human rights of local residents and supercharge climate change.
