Here are two updates on the latest attempts to make it harder, costlier, and more confusing to vote in America – and how you can join VoteRiders in fighting back. 

First, you may have seen that President Trump issued an Executive Order focused on restricting Americans’ ability to vote by mail. Like his earlier March 2025 executive order on voting, this is an unconstitutional attempt to nationalize elections and is already being challenged in court. 

Confusion about what this means now for voting this year (nothing!) is rampant and unchecked, and can prevent people from casting their ballots. In the wake of this development, VoteRiders is fighting misinformation and providing voters with trusted, up-to-date details on how to cast a ballot with confidence. 

Second, a decision on the SAVE America Act, the harmful voter suppression bill that would make it much harder for millions of eligible voters to register and vote, was postponed. It hasn't passed so far largely thanks to YOU and to the millions of grassroots activists who are showing up and making their voices heard against this terrible bill.
