House Republicans recently passed H.R. 1, a sprawling legislative package designed to torpedo President Biden’s clean energy agenda – all to prop up and subsidize the dirty energy industry.

As Matt Casale of the U.S. Public Interest Research Group put it, “This legislation hands taxpayers the bill for expanded fossil fuel extraction and toxic waste clean-up, takes resources away from global warming solutions, and limits Americans' freedom to save energy in their own homes." **

Now, this dangerous and costly legislation has been included in debt ceiling negotiations.

With climate change spiraling out of control, we simply can’t afford to continue investing in dirty sources of energy like coal, oil and natural gas.
