Sign If You Agree: No War With Iran

Donald Trump's reckless rhetoric is once again pushing the United States to the brink of war. On Meet the Press on Sunday, Trump threatened Iran, saying that “if they don’t make a deal, there will be bombing, and it will be bombing the likes of which they have never seen before.”

Congress must act immediately. Lawmakers have both the authority and the responsibility to prevent another disastrous conflict in the Middle East. The Constitution gives Congress—not the president—the power to declare war. 

It’s time for Congress to make it crystal clear that the American people will not support an unauthorized, catastrophic war with Iran.

We’ve seen before exactly where Republican warmongering leads. False claims, rushed military action, and endless wars that claim countless lives and drain resources. Diplomacy is the only responsible path forward — but Trump is doing everything he can to sabotage it.

Iran’s nuclear program must be addressed through negotiations, not bombings and destruction. Congress must speak out forcefully, reaffirm its constitutional role, and block Trump from dragging the U.S. into yet another war. Every day they stay silent, the risk of conflict grows.

The stakes couldn’t be higher. The lives of countless civilians and service members are on the line. The future of global stability hangs in the balance.
