Sign: Demand Congress End The Abduction of All Immigrants

Thousands of people across the country are joining together to demand Congress protect immigrant communities and stop the abduction of DACA recipients and all immigrants.

DACA recipients are protected from detention and deportation. But ICE has been abducting them anyway.

• Javier Diaz Santana, a California DACA recipient who is deaf, was abducted at his place of work in June and separated from his family, unable to communicate with his attorney, for nearly a month, hundreds of miles away from his home in California.

• In Florida, a 36-year-old DACA recipient who has lived in the US for 20 years, was detained after a traffic stop, and held for weeks at the Everglades detention camp.

• Catalina “Xóchitl” Santiago, a DACA recipient and long-time community organizer, was abducted and detained without warrant or cause by Border Patrol on August 3 at an airport in El Paso, TX, as she was about to board a domestic flight for work.

This is a clear escalation of ICE’s mass abduction agenda.

With millions of lives being terrorized and thousands having their constitutional rights violated, Congress must work without hesitation to pass bold protections to protect millions now.

Every single one of us – immigrant or not – has benefited from DACA recipients being a part of our communities. DACA recipients are: our neighbors, doctors, nurses and healthcare workers in our hospitals, teachers in our schools, and so much more. DACA recipients and all immigrants are part of the fabric of our communities.

Congress cannot sit by while the people who power our country are being ripped away from our communities.

Democrats must publicly commit to passing the Dream and Promise Act as the way forward to address these attacks. Sign now and add your name! Every name added builds the pressure on Congressional leadership to prioritize permanent protections and stand up for immigrant youth.
