Trump’s Freedom 250 bash is already a disaster, and we deserve to know who's funding this circus. Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, the Commodores, and other performers have reportedly backed out. John Oliver mocked the lineup on national television. And Trump has floated replacing the concert with himself — or turning it into a MAGA-style rally. But this is bigger than embarrassment. It is a corruption scandal wrapped in red, white, and blue. The Trump administration is using patriotic branding, federal land, and the National Mall to promote a partisan celebration that exploits the nation’s 250th anniversary for private gain. And when reporters asked Interior Secretary Doug Burgum who is funding it, he refused to say. Tell Interior Secretary Doug Burgum: Reveal every donor, sponsor, contract, vendor, and public resource connected to Freedom 250 now. America’s birthday belongs to the people — not Trump, not Burgum, and not secret donors trying to buy influence behind the scenes. We deserve to know who helped turn America’s 250th birthday into a partisan joke. We deserve to know whether wealthy donors, corporations, political operatives, or Trump allies are bankrolling this spectacle. And we deserve to know what they expect in return. Burgum can end the secrecy today. He must release the donor list, disclose the contracts, and identify any taxpayer dollars, federal staff time, public land, official branding, or government resources being used to support Freedom 250. And if Burgum refuses, Congress must investigate. Add your name now and demand transparency before Trump’s team does even more damage to the celebration of America’s birthday. The petition to Interior Secretary Doug Burgum reads: “Reveal every donor, sponsor, contract, vendor, and public resource connected to Freedom 250. America’s 250th anniversary belongs to the people, not secret donors, and the public deserves full transparency before federal resources or national platforms are used to support this event.”
