The Juggernaut Project

Replicate the Green Bank Model Nationwide.

Massachusetts just created the nation's first "green bank dedicated to affordable housing" – a breakthrough policy development that could simultaneously help address the climate crisis and the housing crisis.

“We’re centering environmental justice for folks hit hardest by the climate impacts and high energy costs," Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey said.

Buildings account for roughly 25 of the state's greenhouse gas emissions. And housing remains far too expensive in Massachusetts and throughout the United States.

The Green Bank will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and make housing more affordable by installing heat pumps and solar panels, and making housing more energy efficient. It is a win-win solution that other states should immediately seek to replicate.

Sign the petition calling on governors and state legislatures to replicate the innovative Green Bank model nationwide.
