Reject Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence

Donald Trump’s nomination of Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence (DNI) is a grave threat to U.S. national security. Gabbard’s troubling history of echoing Russian propaganda, defending authoritarian regimes like Syria’s Bashar al-Assad, and downplaying the threat of Vladimir Putin makes her an unfit choice to oversee the nation’s intelligence community. The Senate must use its constitutional duty of advice and consent to block her confirmation.

As DNI, Gabbard would oversee all U.S. intelligence agencies, playing a critical role in national security. But her record raises serious concerns. Gabbard has repeatedly taken positions that align with Russian interests, from questioning U.S. intelligence findings on election interference to parroting Kremlin talking points on Ukraine and NATO. Her appointment would undermine trust in the intelligence community and jeopardize America’s ability to counter foreign threats.

National security experts are already voicing alarm. Retired Major General Paul Eaton said, “Someone with Gabbard’s record of supporting dictators and undermining U.S. alliances has no place leading our intelligence community.” His warning reflects widespread concern about Gabbard’s suitability for such a sensitive and vital role.

We call on the Senate to reject Tulsi Gabbard’s nomination as Director of National Intelligence. America needs a leader in this role who will protect our country, not someone whose views align with authoritarian regimes and undermine our alliances.

Sign this petition to demand that Senators stand firm against Trump’s reckless nomination. Let’s ensure that our national security remains in the hands of someone trustworthy, experienced, and committed to defending American interests.
