Racist Republican Senator Tuberville Must Resign

This is beyond the pale – even for a Republican politician.

Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville, talking about Democrats at a campaign rally in Nevada, said, “they want crime because they want to take over what you got. They want to control what you have. They want reparations because they think the people that do the crime are owed that.”

As the Associated Press explained, “Tuberville is falsely suggesting that Democrats promote crime and that only Blacks are the perpetrators. In fact, crime has slowed in the last year and most crimes are committed by whites.”

Everyone – Democrats and Repbulicans alike – should be clear that Tommy Tuberville’s overt and disgusting racism is absolutely unacceptable in American politics.
