Defend the Brooks Range

Protect the Heart of Alaska. Defend the Brooks Range.

A 211-mile, private, industrial access road is proposed through critical Alaska caribou and fish habitat, and Gates of the Arctic National Preserve. Alaska Native villages sit downstream from where international mining companies hope to break ground on multiple open-pit mines. The road and massive, associated mining projects would threaten over 40 communities that depend on the area’s resources for their food and traditional way of life.

Local residents are clear that they want to protect their communities, defend wild lands that are critical habitat for caribou and fish, and ensure the longevity of clean water and subsistence fisheries.

Join us in calling on the Biden administration and the Bureau of Land Management to defend the Brooks Range region of northern Alaska and revoke the permits for the Ambler Road. Sign this petition urging them to select "No Action Alternative."
