Pass Hurricane Helene Disaster Relief Aid

The damage from Hurricane Helene has left a devastating impact on countless communities. Homes have been destroyed, businesses have been washed away, and many people are still struggling to access basic necessities like food, water, and shelter.

That’s why Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen recently urged his fellow lawmakers to approve immediate disaster relief aid. He emphasized that “we cannot allow partisan gridlock to hold up relief for Americans who are in dire need.” His message is clear: we need to act now to help those facing the horrific aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

Families and individuals are grappling with the loss of homes, livelihoods, and access to critical services. Recovery from a disaster of this magnitude will require extensive support, and it is the responsibility of the federal government to ensure that aid reaches those affected. Waiting any longer will only deepen the suffering and make recovery even more difficult.

It's time for Congress to put aside politics and act in the best interests of those in need. Sign our petition to demand that Congress pass Hurricane Helene disaster relief aid now.
