No Taxpayer Funds for Trump’s Billion-Dollar Ballroom

Republicans in Congress are trying to make taxpayers foot the $1 billion bill for Donald Trump’s planned White House ballroom project — even as working families struggle to afford healthcare, housing, and groceries.

Trump has long pushed for a lavish ballroom addition to the White House, framing it as a legacy project. But now reports indicate Republicans want taxpayers to pay for it.

At a time when essential programs face cuts and millions of Americans are under economic pressure, handing over public money for a Trump vanity project is outrageous.

Tell Republicans in Congress: "No taxpayer dollars for Trump’s billion-dollar ballroom. Reject any funding package that forces Americans to subsidize this vanity project."

Congressional Republicans are talking about spending enormous sums connected to a luxury addition tied directly to Trump’s personal image and political legacy while simultaneously demanding austerity elsewhere. That sends a dangerous message: there’s always money for ego projects, but never enough for ordinary people.

A billion dollars could help fund affordable housing, public schools, disaster relief, healthcare programs, veterans services, or food assistance. Instead, Republicans are funneling public resources into a project designed to glorify one politician.

Add your name now and tell Congress that Americans should not be forced to bankroll Trump’s luxury ballroom project.

The petition to Congress reads: "No taxpayer dollars for Trump’s billion-dollar ballroom. Reject any funding package or federal spending that forces Americans to subsidize Donald Trump’s vanity project."
