NBC News: Stop Hiring Election Deniers Like Ronna McDaniel

NBC News just betrayed its viewers and violated its commitment to factual journalism by announcing that is has hired serial liar Ronna McDaniel as an on-air contributor.

McDaniel, who recently stepped down as chair of the Republican National Committee, has spent the past several years lying about hugely consequential topics like the results of the 2020 election and the January 20, 2001 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Election liars and serial liars like Ronna McDaniel have no business appearing on NBC News or any other legitimate news outlet. Sign the petition if you agree that NBC should reverse course and make a commitment to stop hiring election deniers.

Commentators across the political spectrum have already denounced NBC News' decision.

"NBC/MSNBC paying Ronna McDaniel $300k a year to continue spreading lies about our democracy feels like a giant slap in the face to every reasonable adult who has supported the network through the Trump years," wrote progressive writer Charlotte Clymer. "It feels like betrayal. Because it is," she added.

"The hiring of a fascist, Ronna McDaniel, who is an election denier and serial liar who conspired to overthrow democracy in America is as cynical and corrupt as it gets," wrote Republican strategist Steve Schmidt.
