Media: Stop Treating Militarization as a Solution

Charlie Kirk recently called on President Trump to “fully deploy the military in the streets” of major U.S. cities—including Chicago, New York, Boston, and more—citing public safety concerns. He even invoked the Insurrection Act to justify what amounts to martial law.

This rhetoric is dangerous and reckless. It normalizes federalizing cities, bypasses democratic oversight, and lays the groundwork for authoritarian politics.
