Major Victory: Court Stops Trump’s Military Overreach

A federal judge has just stood up for democracy, state sovereignty, and the rule of law — blocking the Trump administration from deploying National Guard troops to Oregon and California without state consent.

This ruling is a victory for the Constitution and for every American who believes our military should never be used as a political weapon against our own people. The court affirmed what we all know: there is no rebellion in Oregon, no insurrection in Portland — and no justification for sending troops into peaceful communities.

California and Oregon’s leaders fought back against this abuse of power — and they won. Governor Tina Kotek, Governor Gavin Newsom, and Attorney General Rob Bonta defended their states’ right to self-govern, proving that courage and accountability still matter in America.

We celebrate this victory for our freedoms, and we stand with every state resisting federal overreach and the misuse of our National Guard.

Add your name to thank Governor Kotek, Governor Newsom, and Attorney General Bonta for defending our democracy and protecting our communities from unlawful militarization.
