Joe Biden is an American Hero

On Sunday afternoon, Pres. Joe Biden announced on social media that he is no longer running for President. Moments later, he endorsed Vice President Harris.

"It has been the great honor of my life to serve as your President," Biden said. "And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and my country for me to step down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as president for the remainder of my term."

Whatever you think about Pres. Biden's decision, it was clearly one of the most difficult and patriotic decisions any American president has ever made.

Stepping down in order to help unify Democrats against the threat posed by Donald Trump required extraordinary strength, self-awareness and wisdom. It's something very few elected officials would have had the strength to do.
