Investigate Trump’s Ongoing Communications with Putin

Recent reports indicate that Donald Trump may still be communicating with Russian President Vladimir Putin, raising concerns about potential violations of the Logan Act, which prohibits unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments, particularly when it undermines U.S. policy.

Former National Security Advisor Susan Rice has called for an investigation, warning that Trump’s continued communications with Putin are “potentially illegal and certainly problematic.”

Given Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine—where Trump has openly sided with Putin—these interactions raise serious questions about whether Trump is undermining U.S. foreign policy for personal or political gain.

Tell the Department of Justice: Investigate Donald Trump’s ongoing communications with Vladimir Putin.

Trump’s longstanding ties to Putin are well-documented, from his refusal to criticize Russia’s election interference to his praise for Putin as a “strong leader.”

Rice and other experts warn that Trump’s behavior could violate the Logan Act, which is designed to protect U.S. diplomacy from interference by private citizens.

At a time when U.S. support for Ukraine is crucial, Trump’s apparent backing of Russia could have dangerous implications for both American interests and global security.

The American public deserves transparency and accountability to ensure that our national security isn’t being compromised.
