Investigate Trump's Attacks on Consumer Safety Commission

President Trump just fired three top consumer safety officials for doing their jobs.

In a stunning power grab, Trump ousted the Democratic commissioners of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) after they voted to crack down on deadly lithium-ion batteries, which have caused dozens of fires and deaths. No explanation. No due process. Just retaliation for standing up to corporate interests.

This is a direct threat to every family in America. The CPSC exists to keep dangerous products off store shelves—whether it’s exploding batteries, toxic toys, or faulty appliances. 

Gutting this agency puts lives at risk, and we must defend it together.

Donald Trump is trying to eliminate the CPSC’s independence entirely, folding it into a cabinet department he controls. That means weaker oversight, slashed budgets, and zero accountability. It's part of a broader assault on watchdog agencies meant to serve the public, not the president’s agenda.
