Investigate Trump and Big Oil’s Collusion on Venezuela

Donald Trump is using U.S. military power to help oil companies cash in — and Congress must investigate immediately.

As Trump escalated intervention in Venezuela, he was quietly meeting behind closed doors with fossil fuel executives. After the attack, Trump openly bragged that U.S. oil companies would gain access to Venezuela’s massive oil reserves. Then reports surfaced that Big Oil was preparing to pour billions into the country’s oil fields.

That’s not a coincidence. It looks like collusion, and Congress must investigate now.

Tell Congress: “Investigate Trump and Big Oil’s collusion on Venezuela. Expose the deals. Defend democracy. And stop wars for profit.”

Democratic lawmakers have called for an investigation to find out what Trump told oil executives, when he told them, and whether corporate profits shaped decisions about war and regime change. But a probe will only succeed if the public demands answers.

This is bigger than Venezuela. If a president can secretly coordinate with corporations that profit from war, democracy itself is at risk. Venezuela’s people have already suffered from sanctions, instability, and violence. They should not be collateral damage in a corporate oil grab.

Congress has the constitutional duty to act. That means subpoenas. Public hearings. And full disclosure of every communication between Trump officials and the oil industry related to Venezuela.

Add your name now to demand accountability.

The petition to Congress reads: “Investigate Trump and Big Oil’s collusion on Venezuela. Expose the deals. Defend democracy. And stop wars for profit.”
