Investigate DeSantis’ Anti-Choice Voter Suppression Tactics

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ administration is employing disturbing and authoritarian tactics, sending police to intimidate pro-choice voters who oppose Florida’s harsh 6-week abortion ban. 

This isn’t just harassment—it’s a desperate attempt to silence dissent and maintain control over one of the nation’s most regressive abortion laws.

The people of Florida have made it clear: they reject this draconian restriction on reproductive freedom. But instead of listening to his constituents, DeSantis is doubling down on repression, using law enforcement to discourage opposition to this deeply unpopular ban. 

These intimidation tactics are a blatant violation of democratic principles, designed to keep Florida’s backwards abortion law in place at any cost.

DeSantis’ actions are a direct attack on both reproductive rights and democracy itself. By sending law enforcement after his political opponents, he’s showing just how far he’s willing to go to suppress the will of the people. This is unacceptable, and it must be stopped.

As Florida Democratic state Rep. Anna Eskamani stated, "This is unhinged and undemocratic behavior being pushed by Governor Ron DeSantis in an effort to continue our state’s near-total abortion ban."
