Hold ICE Accountable for Surveillance Abuses

Every person in America deserves privacy, dignity, and freedom from government overreach. Yet as 404 Media reports, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has used facial recognition and data-mining technologies to scan millions of driver’s license photos — without warrants, consent, or accountability.

This kind of mass surveillance is unacceptable in a democracy. When government agencies secretly gather data on ordinary people, it threatens civil liberties, chills free expression, and undermines public trust. No agency should be allowed to operate in the shadows or use powerful technology to violate people’s rights.

Congress must investigate ICE’s surveillance practices and pass stronger laws to protect privacy and limit the use of facial recognition. Oversight, transparency, and accountability are essential to ensure that technology serves the people — not the other way around.

Add your name to demand lawmakers hold ICE accountable and defend Americans’ civil rights and privacy.

Democracy depends on checks and balances. Together, we can make sure government agencies respect the law, protect our freedoms, and use technology responsibly — with people, not power, in mind.
