Hold ICE Accountable for Civil Rights Violations

Every person in the United States — no matter their background — deserves to be treated with dignity, fairness, and respect under the law. But as The Guardian reports, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents are once again facing accusations of serious abuse, including the recent shooting of an unarmed woman during a raid.

These incidents are not isolated. For years, ICE has been linked to excessive force, inhumane detention conditions, and violations of basic civil liberties. Yet oversight and accountability remain virtually nonexistent. No agency operating within our borders should be allowed to violate human rights without consequence.
