Extremist Media Hosts Don’t Belong in Top Prosecutor Roles

Donald Trump just appointed former Fox News host Jeanine Pirro as D.C.'s top federal prosecutor — a decision raising serious concerns about judgment, qualifications, and the politicization of justice.

Pirro isn’t a career prosecutor or impartial legal mind. She’s a partisan media figure whose own Fox News producer reportedly thought she was “nuts.” Her appointment represents a dangerous overlap between extremist media and our legal system.

Federal prosecutors should be experienced, impartial, and committed to the rule of law — not cable news personalities with a history of inflammatory rhetoric and blind loyalty to political figures.

Tell the Trump Administration: Extremist media personalities have no place in positions of legal authority. Our justice system deserves better.
