Expel Rep. Mike Collins from Congress for Inciting Violence

We've seen a lot of irresponsible rhetoric from Republican politicians over the years, but Georgia congressman Mike Collins just sunk to a new low.

Moments after the attempted assassination of Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Collins posted on social media that "Biden sent the orders."

A few minutes later, he doubled down, calling on the Republican District Attorney in Butler County, Pennsylvania to file charges against Pres. Biden for "inciting an assassination."

Rep. Collins' remarks are inaccurate and wildly irresponsible. At a time when Pres. Biden is trying to calm the nation and prevent further escalation of violence, it's unacceptable for Republicans in Congress to fan the flames with these types of dangerous lies.

Rep. Collins knows exactly what he is doing. He knows that attempting to pin the blame on Pres. Biden increases the likelihood of further political violence. He knew he was telling a dangerous lie. And he did it anyway.

Sign the petition urging Republican leadership to expel Rep. Mike Collins from Congress and make it clear that inciting violence against Pres. Biden is unacceptable.
